The goal of this site is to improve access to information for active civil service exam takers.

How I Started

With close to 1.5 million views, the Civil Service List on the NYC Open Data portal is one of the most frequently accessed datasets. This site provides access to the most relevant data about candidates currently active on the civil service list while offering an intuitive and user-friendly experience.

How I Built This

The project was built with Python, Django web framework, Pandas and SQLite.

Valentino is a graduate of Queens College, CUNY with a Master’s degree in Urban Affairs and
has a background in information technology, audio engineering, music production and photography.
He has a solid belief in equitable access to clear information in order to create opportunities for change. He is currently employed with the City of New York.
